The original business - Christie Electrical Ltd was founded in 1980 by Les Christie who started out as an Electrical Contractor, and it was under his father's guidance that Brent completed his Electrical Apprenticeship. In 2003 the decision was made to join the Laser Electrical franchise which provided a strong national brand, buying power, access to a stronger knowledge base, technical support and systems developed specifically for our trade.

Our main office, located in East Street in Ashburton, has a lighting and heating retail showroom with a large range of lighting options as well as wood, gas and pellet fires. Our new Rolleston branch is managed by Mike Owen, where we have an ever growing team working on projects all over Christchurch city and the surrounding areas. Simon Reardon manages the Geraldine and Temuka branches and is supported by 2IC Mike Withey from where we service a variety of residential, commercial, rural and dairy projects.
